See it. Solve it. Stand by it.
Growing Trust. Growing Our Community.
We operate on a simple motto: Exceed Expectations. We deliver rigorous engineering—without the stiff process.
Working with an engineering or surveying firm shouldn’t be complicated.
When you call for help, it’s no fun to be transferred three times to someone out of state when you need answers now. It’s hard to find a firm that fits your needs, one large enough to handle complex projects, but small enough to communicate effectively.
A&E can help. We take engineering seriously, but not ourselves. You’ll find a team that’s sharp, approachable, and genuinely enjoyable to work with.
Rigorous Engineering. Refreshingly Human.
Technical expertise is a given. Clear communication, approachability, and a sense of humor? That’s where we stand out. While many engineering firms pride themselves on simply adding staff, A&E prefers to rely on proven professionals honed by our core values.
Our clients appreciate a team that is responsive, collaborative, and human.
The Core Values We Stand Behind:
People
Safety
Focus
Integrity
Precision

Growing by Reference Since 1998.
See why our community trusts us with their vision.
Great engineering matters, but the experience matters just as much. We’ve grown our firm by treating every client like a partner, not a project number. The badges and stars are nice, but the real reward is being the first call our community makes when they need a problem solved.

Our Story
A&E Engineering and Surveying was founded in 1998 in Pocatello, Idaho, by one surveyor, one engineer, and a simple motto: Exceed Expectations. If a job is worth doing, it’s worth doing right.
We can’t say exactly why the original founders chose the name “A&E,” but we know they wanted to build a firm where clients returned over and over, and employees were treated fairly. While the founders have retired to become pillars in our local community, their legacy lives on in our current principals.
Our Philosophy
A&E was made different, with intention. Growing by reference only for nearly three decades, A&E has become a permanent part of the community, ready to help you achieve your project goals. We have set the industry standard for residential and commercial clients for decades, and we plan on continuing that legacy—one project at a time.
